About Kathy’s Hope Supportive Housing Program
Welcome to Kathy’s Hope, a supportive housing program made possible by funds from The Homeless Housing Assistance Grant, City of Key West, SHAL, Jay Gogin, Florida Keys Community College, Klaus Murphy Foundation and Private Funding to a Division of Samuel’s House, Inc.
The mission of Samuel’s House, Inc. is to provide housing in a nurturing environment for homeless women and women with children and to provide them with care coordination beneficial to their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being.
Goals
The ultimate goal is to allow a resident to remain independent and largely self-sufficient through the provision of specifically targeted services that will address the needs of the individual.
CASE MANAGEMENT. Each individual at Kathy's Hope receives comprehensive case management services delivered in a respectful and caring fashion. The monthly (minimum) case management appointments provide an opportunity for the client to discuss challenges and successes. All information shared
with the case manager is handled with the utmost confidentiality and sensitivity. The Case Manager provides suggestions and referrals to help the client toward success.
LENGTH OF STAY. Each individual has unique goals and needs. An individual’s length of stay will vary according to those goals and needs, in addition to such factors as health, finances, and continued appropriateness for the program. The Case Manager works with each client to develop, focus and periodically update the goals and objectives and various timetables of each client.
