ABOUT US (Read History)
Samuel’s House is a safe haven for women, and women with children, for up to 90 days to allow them a new beginning. Any woman in need, of any age, anywhere in Monroe County is welcomed.
Samuel’s House is a non-judgmental place for women who, for various reasons, such as substance abuse, domestic violence, incarceration, illness or other traumatic events, have found themselves homeless.
Samuel’s House is also a place where elderly or mentally ill women can find safety and security while awaiting placement in an appropriate facility that can meet their long term needs.
Samuel’s House meets all local safety standards and ADA requirements as to handicap accessibility. It provides comfortable dining, separate dorms for single women and women with children, laundry facilities, living room, room for group gatherings and other activities, children's play area and offices.
